Biscotti

Image: wikipedia

Biscotti are a type of twice-baked cookie that originated in Italy. They are made by baking a dough made of flour, sugar, eggs, and butter twice. Once out of the oven, the biscotti are cut into long, thin slices and then baked again. This second bake gives them their signature hard and dry texture. Biscotti are often eaten with coffee or wine, and are sometimes dipped in chocolate.
